Limited Warranty
Exactly what WeFixed stands behind, for how long, and how to make a claim. This warranty applies to the specific repair described on your invoice.
Last updated: June 28, 2026
01What this warranty is
WeFixed provides this Limited Warranty on the specific repair described on your invoice. It is the only warranty WeFixed makes. It covers solely (a) the specific part or parts we installed and (b) the specific labor we performed on the issue identified on your invoice. It does not cover the device as a whole, or any other component, fault, or condition.
02Coverage period
Your exact warranty term is printed on your invoice and depends on the part used.
- OEM or OEM-equivalent parts — one (1) year from the repair date, on that part only.
- Aftermarket parts and all labor — thirty (30) days from the repair date.
- Parts from secondary or specialty suppliers — case-by-case, as stated on your invoice. If no term is stated, such parts are provided as-is, with no warranty, to the extent permitted by law.
Coverage begins on the date you pick up the device or, for mail-in, the date we ship it back. It applies only to a defect in the warranted part or in our workmanship — not to any new or unrelated problem.
03What is not covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage, or any physical, liquid, impact, drop, crack, bend, or pressure damage occurring after our repair;
- Normal wear and tear, and cosmetic deterioration;
- Pre-existing, latent, or unrelated faults that were not part of the repair we performed;
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, or exposure to liquid, heat, or power surges;
- Software, operating-system, application, configuration, account, or update issues;
- Loss of, or damage to, data (see “Your data is your responsibility” below); and
- Damage to the repaired area caused by you or any third party opening, tampering with, modifying, or servicing that area after our service.
04Your sole remedy
If we confirm a covered defect, your sole and exclusive remedy is, at WeFixed’s option: (a) re-performing the repair, (b) replacing the warranted part, or (c) refunding the amount you paid for that specific repair.
The $65 diagnostic fee and any evaluation fee are non-refundable and are not part of any warranty remedy.
05Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeFixed’s total liability for any claim arising from or relating to a repair will not exceed the amount you actually paid WeFixed for that specific repair. WeFixed is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost data, loss of use, lost profits or business, or any claimed loss in the value of the device — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in this warranty limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, or for personal injury, where such limitation is prohibited by law.
06Implied warranties
To the extent we may lawfully do so, any implied warranties — including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose — are limited in duration to the written warranty period stated on your invoice.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some states (including Maryland and the District of Columbia) do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties in consumer transactions, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
07Non-transferable; how to make a claim
This Limited Warranty extends only to the original paying customer named on the invoice and may not be transferred or assigned.
To make a claim, you must, within the applicable warranty period:
- Present your original WeFixed invoice and invoice number;
- Return the device to WeFixed — in person or by prepaid mail-in per our instructions; and
- Allow us to inspect and re-diagnose it.
All claims are subject to inspection. If we confirm a covered defect, we provide the remedy above at no charge. If the issue arises from an excluded cause, or is a new or unrelated problem, this warranty does not apply and our standard diagnostic and repair rates apply. Warranty service also requires that the device’s IMEI or serial number match the device on the original invoice.
08Third-party service and parts
Using third-party parts, or having your device serviced elsewhere, does not by itself void this warranty. We may decline a claim only where we determine that such outside parts or service — or any opening or tampering with the repaired area after our service — actually caused the failure you are claiming.
Any tamper indicator we place over a repaired area is used only to identify whether that area was re-accessed after our service.
09Your data is your responsibility
You are solely responsible for backing up your data before any service. WeFixed is not responsible for any data, settings, accounts, or content that is lost, altered, or rendered inaccessible during diagnosis, repair, or recovery. All service is performed at your own risk as to data.
10Water and liquid-damage repairs
Liquid causes corrosion that continues to spread beneath chips and connectors even after cleaning, so a liquid-damaged device may work and then fail later. We cannot guarantee that a liquid-damaged device will function, that any restored function will last, or that all damage has been found.
Liquid-damage repairs carry no warranty, except where a shorter limited term is expressly stated on your invoice for the specific component repaired. Fees are owed regardless of the long-term outcome.
11Board-level and microsoldering repairs
Board-level and microsoldering repairs are inherently high-risk and are an attempt, not a guaranteed outcome. The device may already be damaged; during the work, additional latent damage may be found and weakened components may fail. You acknowledge that the device may be left non-working, or in a worsened state, despite our reasonable care.
Where so designated on your invoice, board-level repairs are accepted as-is, with no warranty, and diagnostic or attempt fees apply regardless of the outcome.
12Data recovery
Data recovery is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not and cannot guarantee that any data will be recovered, in whole or in part, and we make no warranty as to the integrity, completeness, usability, or accuracy of any recovered data; recovered files may be partial or corrupted.
No data, no recovery fee: if we recover none of the data you requested, no recovery fee is charged. The evaluation fee remains non-refundable, as it pays for the recovery attempt and assessment we perform.
