About WeFixed

The bench other shops call.

WeFixed is an independent electronics-repair workshop in Arlington, VA. For eleven years we've done the board-level microsoldering, logic-board repair and data recovery that most shops send out — which is why other repair shops send their hardest cases to us. Every device starts with a written diagnosis, and we'll tell you honestly when something isn't worth fixing.

Our story

Eleven years of fixing what others replace.

We started as a walk-in repair bench and kept going deeper — past screens and batteries, into the boards themselves. Today the back of the shop is a microsoldering and data-recovery lab where we replace individual components, rebuild burnt traces and pull data off devices that won't power on.

That depth is why we stay independent. We're not tied to a manufacturer's repair program, so we can open boards, source components freely and recover data on devices a carrier store would simply replace — the advanced work many service programs don't offer.

And it's why other shops call us. Independent technicians across the DMV send us the cases they can't finish — and we handle every one with the same written-diagnosis-first process our walk-in customers get.

Lead Technician

Owner · board-level repair

  • Microsoldering
  • Logic boards
  • Diagnostics

Founded WeFixed and has spent eleven years at the bench, focused on the board-level work most shops send out — failed power ICs, reballing, lifted pads. Sets the rule the whole shop runs on: a written diagnosis before anything gets opened.

Microsoldering Specialist

Component-level repair

  • BGA rework
  • Trace repair
  • iPhone / MacBook boards

Works under the microscope all day — replacing individual components, rebuilding burnt traces and bringing no-power boards back. The kind of repair that decides whether a device is fixed or written off.

Data Recovery Specialist

Recovery from dead & damaged devices

  • Chip-level recovery
  • Water damage
  • Failed drives

Recovers photos, messages and files from devices that won't power on — water damage, drops, dead boards. Handles every device under a logged chain-of-custody, accessing only what the recovery needs.

Phones, tablets & laptops

  • Screens
  • Batteries
  • Charging ports

Handles the front-of-shop walk-in work — screens, batteries and charging ports done while you wait — and preps mail-in devices with documented intake before they reach the bench.

How we work

The promises behind every repair.

A written diagnosis first

Every device gets a $65 diagnostic and a written report — the exact fault, parts and cost — before we open anything. The fee goes toward the repair.

Honest about parts

We tell you whether a part is genuine, OEM-equivalent or aftermarket, and which warranty it carries: 1 year on OEM/OLED, 1 month on aftermarket.

Your data stays private

We access only what a repair or recovery needs, never sell data, and log every device under a documented chain-of-custody.

We'll tell you when not to

If a device isn't worth fixing, we say so — you pay the diagnostic and nothing more. Honest advice beats an unnecessary repair.

Good to know

About us, answered.

Are your technicians certified?
We don't chase manufacturer certifications — they're tied to parts programs that limit what an independent shop is allowed to do. We'd rather keep the freedom to perform board-level and data-recovery work those programs don't cover. Our proof is eleven years of hands-on results and the referral work other shops send us.
Who actually works on my device?
Your device is repaired in-house by our own technicians at the Arlington bench — board-level work goes to the microsoldering and data-recovery specialists, everyday repairs to the bench technicians. We don't outsource the actual repair.
Why aren't you tied to a manufacturer's repair program?
Independence is deliberate. Being outside a manufacturer's program lets us open boards, source components freely and recover data on devices a carrier store would simply replace — the advanced work that defines what we do.
What does "the shop other shops call" mean?
Independent repair shops and technicians across the DMV send us the board-level cases they can't finish in-house — failed ICs, reballing, lifted pads, no-power boards and data recovery. That referral work is a core part of what our Arlington bench does every week.
