Privacy Policy
How WeFixed handles information from our website and intake — and how we treat the data on a device you bring or mail to us. We keep it minimal, we don’t sell it, and we tell you exactly what we do.

01Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and provide our services:
- Information you give us through our contact or intake form, or in messages: your name, phone number, email address, device type and model, and a description of the issue or service requested.
- Information collected automatically when you visit our website: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar analytics data, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and analytics”).
We do not ask for, and request that you do not send us, sensitive personal information (such as government-ID numbers, health, or financial-account details) through the website.
02Why we use it
We use this information to:
- respond to your inquiry and provide a quote;
- schedule, perform, and follow up on repair or data-recovery services;
- communicate with you about your device and order status;
- operate, secure, and improve our website; and
- comply with the law.
We limit our collection and use of personal data to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
04Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and to understand site usage (for example, via analytics tools such as Google Analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings, and we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where applicable. We do not use cookies to sell your data or to serve cross-context behavioral advertising.
05Email communications
If you contact us, we may email you about your inquiry or service. We send marketing or promotional emails only where permitted; each such email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-out requests promptly. Our valid postal address appears at the bottom of those emails.
06Text, SMS and messaging consent
By providing your phone number and agreeing to be contacted, you authorize WeFixed to contact you by SMS text message, WhatsApp, and/or phone about your repair inquiry, quote, and service status. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP (or telling us by any reasonable means), and reply HELP for help. We will not share your number with third parties for their own marketing.
07Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising (we do neither). To make a request, contact us using the details below.
We will verify and respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, we will explain why and how to appeal; to appeal, reply to our decision and we will respond in writing within 60 days. Virginia residents who disagree with our appeal decision may contact the Virginia Attorney General; Maryland residents may contact the Maryland Attorney General.
08Data retention
We keep website-inquiry and customer-contact information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements, after which we delete or de-identify it. How we handle data stored on a device you bring or mail to us is addressed in “Your data on your device,” below.
09Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11Your data on your device
Back up your data
You are responsible for backing up all data on your device before delivering or mailing it to us. Repair, diagnostic, and data-recovery work — and the underlying device condition — can result in partial or total data loss. By authorizing service, you confirm that you have backed up your data, or have voluntarily chosen not to, and you accept the associated risk.
Access to your device
To diagnose and repair your device, our technicians may need to power it on, run diagnostics, install or update software, and access device functions. Please remove or disable passcodes and locks where you are able, or provide them, so we can complete and test the repair; if you do not, we may be unable to fully diagnose, repair, or verify the device. We access the contents of your device only as reasonably necessary to perform the requested service, and we do not browse, copy, or extract your personal files, photos, or accounts beyond what the service requires.
Confidentiality, recovery and deletion
We treat any personal data we encounter on your device as confidential and disclose it only as required by law. We do not sell or use your device data for marketing. Recovered data is returned to you on media you provide or that we supply, and is deleted from our equipment after you confirm receipt. After service is complete and the device is returned, we do not retain its contents; any temporary diagnostic copies are deleted. Unclaimed devices may be securely wiped and disposed of under our Terms of Service. If, in the ordinary course of repair, we encounter content we are legally required to report, we will comply with our legal reporting obligations.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date, and material changes will be made conspicuous.
