Micro-soldering and board repair for Vienna, VA

WeFixed is an independent, board-level repair lab. Our only storefront is in Arlington, at 2722 Washington Blvd N. We don't have a counter in Vienna — so this page is honest about how that actually works. From most of the Town of Vienna it's a short hop down I-66 to our bench, and if you'd rather not drive, we run tracked mail-in. Either way, the work is the same: chip-level diagnosis, micro-soldering, and data recovery that most carry-in shops send out or decline.

If you're near Nutley Street or the Vienna Metro, our Arlington bench is essentially a straight shot east on I-66 — about 12 miles. Off-peak that's under 20 minutes; during the morning and evening crush on 66, budget closer to half an hour.

Not worth the drive for a board you can't power on anyway? Mail it. We send tracked, insured labels, photograph the board on arrival, and you approve the written quote before any soldering happens. Vienna packages usually reach us next business day.

Two ways to reach us

  • Mail-in with a tracked label — diagnosis in writing before any work
  • Or drive to our Arlington bench: ≈ 12 miles · 17 min nonstop (plan 25–35 in rush hour) via I-66 to our Arlington bench

One bench. Vienna drops in, the country mails in.

The hardest board-level and microsoldering cases all land on the same Arlington bench — whether they walk through the door or arrive by mail from across the US.

How repair works if you're in Vienna

Start with a message describing the device and what happened — liquid spill, no power, no image, a failed screen swap, a phone that won't charge past a certain point. We'll tell you honestly whether it's a board-level job worth doing or a simple part you could handle closer to home.

Choose your path. Drive in to Arlington (2722 Washington Blvd N, 22201) — roughly 12 miles down I-66 from the Town of Vienna — or request a tracked, insured mail-in kit. We don't run a pickup van or a pop-up in Vienna; pretending otherwise would just be a doorway page, and that's not us.

Every device gets a $65 written diagnostic. It's a real bench workup — schematic-level tracing, not a guess — and the $65 applies toward the repair if you go ahead. You see the cause and a fixed price before we touch the board. OEM and genuine OLED parts carry a one-year warranty; aftermarket parts carry one month, clearly labeled so you're never surprised.

Do you have a shop in Vienna?

No. Our only storefront is in Arlington at 2722 Washington Blvd N, 22201. For Vienna we offer two honest options: drive in (about 12 miles down I-66) or use tracked, insured mail-in. We won't claim a Vienna address we don't have.

How far is your Arlington bench from Vienna, really?

About 12 miles. From the Maple Avenue / Nutley Street area it's a near-straight run east on I-66 — roughly 17 minutes with no traffic, but realistically 25–35 minutes during the I-66 rush, which around here can be most of the day. Off-peak it's quick.

What does the $65 diagnostic cover?

A full board-level workup: we open the device, inspect under magnification, and trace the fault to the actual failing component or rail rather than guessing at a part. You get a written explanation and a fixed quote. If you approve the repair, the $65 applies toward it.

Is mail-in safe for a phone that won't turn on?

Yes — that's most of what we receive. A dead board ships fine. We use tracked, insured labels, photograph the device when it lands on the bench, and send the written quote before any soldering. From Vienna, packages typically reach us the next business day.

What are your warranties?

One year on OEM and genuine OLED parts and the soldering work tied to them. One month on aftermarket parts, which we label clearly so you choose with eyes open. We'd rather quote the honest part than oversell a warranty.

Does Virginia's right-to-repair law require manufacturers to help you?

No. As of 2026 Virginia has no right-to-repair law — the digital right-to-repair bills died in a House subcommittee this past February. As an independent lab we work from our own schematics, tools, and experience, not from manufacturer-provided access, and we'll always tell you when a repair genuinely isn't worth it.

Do you work on more than phones?

Yes. Tablets, laptops and MacBook logic boards, game consoles, and other devices with board-level faults — no power, no display, charging-circuit failures, liquid damage, and data recovery from boards a screen-swap shop would turn away. If you're unsure, message us before driving in from Vienna or shipping.
