PlayStation Repair Done at the Board Level

When your PS5 throws no HDMI signal, won't power past the blue light, or shuts down mid-game, the fix is usually a component on the board, not a whole new console. We have run an in-house microsoldering bench in Arlington for 11 years, and HDMI port replacement on PlayStation is one of our most common board-level jobs. Walk in locally or use tracked mail-in from any of the 50 states. Every repair starts with a $65 written diagnostic that applies toward the work, and you get our straight answer on whether it is worth fixing.

The short answer

Yes, a PlayStation with no HDMI signal, a blue light of death, or overheating shutdowns is almost always fixable at the board level without a console swap. We replace the HDMI port, trace power faults, and repaste under a microscope in Arlington, keeping all your games and saves. Every repair starts with a $65 diagnostic that applies toward the work.

What we fix

Every PlayStation fault, repaired right.

No HDMI Signal / Black Screen

Dropped console or yanked cable bends the HDMI pins or lifts the port off the board. We replace the port and rebuild the pads under a microscope so the picture comes back, no console swap needed.

No Power / Blue Light of Death

Dead on the button, blinking blue with no display, or instant shut-off usually points to the power supply, a shorted rail, or a board fault. We trace it to the failed part instead of guessing.

Overheating & Shutdowns

Years of dust and dried thermal paste push the APU too hot, so the PS5 fan roars and the system shuts off to protect itself. We deep-clean, repaste with quality compound, and service the fan.

Won't Read or Eject Discs

Grinding noise, discs that won't load, or a tray that refuses to eject point to a worn Blu-ray drive or laser. We clean, realign, or replace the drive and pair it to your board.

USB & Charging Faults

Loose or dead USB-C and USB-A ports stop controllers from charging and drives from connecting. We replace the worn port on the board so connections hold firm again.

DualSense Stick Drift

Characters that move on their own come from worn stick potentiometers or contamination. We replace the analog modules, and can fit drift-resistant hall-effect sticks for a lasting fix.

Good to know

PlayStation repair, answered honestly.

Can you repair the HDMI port instead of replacing my whole PlayStation?
Yes, and that is almost always the right call. A failed HDMI port is a board-level repair: we remove the damaged port under a microscope, rebuild any lifted pads, and solder on a new one. It costs a fraction of a new console and keeps all your games and save data on the original board. HDMI port replacement is our microsoldering specialty.
How much does PlayStation repair cost?
Every job starts with a $65 written diagnostic that applies toward the repair if you go ahead. Once we test the console we give you a firm price before any work begins, so there are no surprises. Most HDMI, power, and thermal repairs come in well under the price of replacing the console.
Do you offer a warranty on the repair?
Yes. OEM and OLED parts and board-level work carry a 1-year warranty; aftermarket parts carry a 1-month warranty. We tell you up front which parts a given repair uses so you know exactly what is covered.
I'm not in Arlington. Can I still get my PS5 fixed?
Yes. You can walk into our Arlington, VA lab, or use tracked mail-in service from anywhere in the 50 states. We send tracking both ways, run the same $65 diagnostic, and confirm the price with you before we start.
